agi.ceo compared to a human business coach

§01 / THE SHORT ANSWER

The short answer

A coach sells accountability and a relationship. This sells a checkable answer and a record. Buy the coach if what stops you is doing the thing you already know you should do. Buy this if what stops you is not knowing whether the advice is true. One of them runs a four figure monthly retainer. This one is $99 a month.

They are not competing for the same twenty minutes. A coach works on you. This works on the question in front of you. Most owners who buy one and then resent it bought the wrong one for their actual problem.

  • Execution problem. You know the move, you keep not making it. Buy the coach.
  • Information problem. You do not know the move, and you cannot check the answers you are getting. This is the cheaper test.
  • Licensed problem. Hiring, firing, tax, credit, insurance, legal. Neither of these is the answer. A coach will at least tell you who to call. This refuses the subject before it searches.

§02 / SIDE BY SIDE

Side by side

Six things that differ in practice, not on a feature grid
 Human business coachagi.ceo
CostCommonly a four figure monthly retainer for 1:1 work. Get a quote, do not trust a range you read online.$99 a month, or $79 a month billed annually at $948 a year. One tier.
When you can reach itYour slot. Weekly or fortnightly, in their hours, in their timezone.Any hour. It has no calendar and no other clients.
What it remembersWhat they wrote down, plus what they remember about you as a person.Facts about the business on one editable panel. Each number labeled self-reported, from document, or stale after 90 days.
Whether you can check the answerRarely. Advice arrives as judgment drawn from their own experience.Every sourced claim carries a chip that opens the passage it came from.
What happens when it does not knowVaries by person. Some say so. Some improvise, and you cannot tell which is happening. It declines, names the domains it searched, shows the three nearest things it holds, and logs the gap.
Who is accountableA person. You can argue with them, fire them, or ask for your money back.Nobody. It informs, you decide. It is not financial, tax or legal advice and it says so on the answer.

The coaching cost row is shape language on purpose. No coaching price was re-verified for this page, so none is published as a figure. See Sources.

§03 / WHAT A HUMAN COACH DOES THAT THIS CANNOT

What a human coach does that this cannot

Four of these, and every one is out of reach for software. Not out of reach for now. Out of reach.

  1. Reads the room. A good coach hears that you have said "I need to get around to the pricing thing" for three calls running and makes that the call instead. Nothing in a chat window notices avoidance, because avoidance is what you did not type.
  2. Holds you to it. The reason coaching works for the owners it works for is that a person will be on a call on Thursday asking whether you sent the email. agi.ceo records the decision and asks you again on a date. That is a reminder, not accountability. A reminder has never made anyone uncomfortable enough to act.
  3. Makes introductions. A coach who has worked with thirty agencies knows a bookkeeper, a recruiter and two people who will take your call. That network is most of what you pay for at the top of the market, and it is the part no corpus contains.
  4. Handles the eight declined subjects. Hiring, termination, credit, tax, securities, insurance, legal, medical. agi.ceo refuses all eight before it searches anything, every time, by design. An agency owner asks about hiring constantly. A coach will at least talk it through with you and point you at the person holding the license.

§04 / WHAT THIS DOES THAT A COACH CANNOT

What this does that a coach cannot

  1. Answers at 11pm. The pricing question does not arrive during your slot. It arrives on a Tuesday night after the kids are down, which is the twenty minutes an owner actually has. A coach is asleep. This is not, and it costs the same whether you open it once a month or nine times a week.
  2. Cites the passage. When it names a mechanism, the chip at the end of that sentence opens the passage it came from, so you read the sentence, not a footnote. You can disagree with a source. You cannot audit a memory.
  3. Declines instead of guessing. The check runs before the model is called, so on a refusal there is no fluent paragraph sitting behind the decline waiting for you to push. A coach under pressure to be useful in a paid hour is the most confident advisor you will ever meet, and nobody keeps a log of which parts they were sure about.
  4. Keeps the decision with a return date. What you decided, what it rested on and the day to look at it again are recorded. In six weeks the question is not what did we say. It is did it work.

That last one is the whole product: a cited mechanism, applied to your own numbers, resolved into a decision with a return date. Everything else on this page is context around it.

Can an AI business advisor replace a business coach?

No. A coach holds you to what you said you would do, reads what you are avoiding, and can introduce you to people. Software does none of those. agi.ceo replaces one narrow part of the job: the part where you need a mechanism named, a source you can open, your own figures applied to it, and the decision written down with a date to look at it again.

§05 / PICK THE COACH IF

Pick the coach if

  • You already know what to do and you are not doing it. This is the common case and it is not an information problem. More cited material will not move you. A person expecting an answer on Thursday might.
  • Your next question is one of the eight. Firing an underperformer, a credit line, an insurance decision, anything with tax or a contract in it. This refuses the subject before it searches, every time, and will keep refusing it. Do not buy a tool whose main behavior on your main question is no.
  • You want a human being paying attention to you. If the value of the hour is that someone who knows your business is thinking about it while you are not, buy that. It is a better product than this in every way that involves a person, and it is roughly ten times the price.
Is a business coach worth it if I already use AI for advice?

Yes, if the thing stopping you is execution rather than information. A coach is worth a four figure monthly retainer when you already know what to do and do not do it. If you know what you should do and keep not doing it, no amount of cited material changes that, and the coach is the correct purchase. The longer version of that calculation is here: is an AI business coach worth it?

§06 / THE HONEST COST COMPARISON

The honest cost comparison

The comparison that gets run on a landing page is $99 against a four figure retainer, which flatters this product and tells you nothing. Here is the one that is actually happening in your bank account.

That stack answers on Tuesday, and by Thursday the answer is buried in a chat history you are not going to scroll back through. The community post is four screens down. You decide it again, slightly differently, and there is no record of why you decided it the first time. What this changes about that night is narrow: one answer has a passage behind it you can open, one part of it is marked refused rather than filled in, and on Thursday the decision is already written down with a date on it.

The coach has a ceiling worth naming once, since nobody selling coaching names it. A coach's advice is bounded by the businesses they have personally run or watched, one at a time, and their calendar caps how much of that you get. You are buying a sample of one person's experience, in their hours, at the top of the price range in this category. That is a real purchase and it is often the right one. It is not an unlimited one.

If you want the published price and the rest of the argument for the cheaper side, it is on the home page: an AI business advisor for owner-operators.

§07 / ONE REFUSAL, IN FULL

One refusal, in full

Most pages in this category open with a customer count. There are none here, so here is the product declining to answer instead. Ask it the question you would take to a coach.

You: What should I charge for a monthly retainer?

That is an illustration of the refusal card, not a captured session. There are no sessions to capture yet. What is real is the behavior in it: the search it names, the three nearest things it holds, the logged gap. On a refusal it does not call the model at all.

A coach answers that question. They give you a number from their own book of clients, and you take it because they sound certain. Sometimes that number is better than this decline. The difference is that you will never know which of the two it was.

Will an AI advisor tell me to fire someone?

No. Hiring and termination are two of eight subjects agi.ceo declines before it searches anything. The other six are credit, tax, securities, insurance, legal and medical. Those are the questions where a coach, or the licensed professional a coach sends you to, is the only sensible place to take them.

§08 / WHAT THIS PAGE DOES NOT COVER

What this page does not cover

It does not list the eight declined subjects one by one or reproduce the refusal behavior in full. That is here: what agi.ceo refuses to answer.

It does not cover masterminds, group coaching, peer boards or paid communities. Those sit between the two options on this page on price and below both on attention, and they deserve their own comparison rather than a paragraph here.

It publishes no coaching price, no industry average and no market size, because none was verified on the day this page was written. It also publishes no outcome numbers of its own. No hours saved, no accuracy rate, no satisfaction score, no revenue added. Nobody has used this long enough for any of those to exist, so the space stays empty.

§09 / SOURCES

Sources

  1. agi.ceo pricing, published on this site: $99 a month, or $79 a month billed annually at $948 a year, one tier, 7 day trial with a card required, accounts approved by hand and capped.
  2. agi.ceo declined subject list, published on this site: hiring, termination, credit, tax, securities, insurance, legal, medical. Eight, checked before any search runs.
  3. agi.ceo number status labels, published on this site: self-reported, from document, stale after 90 days. There is no verified status, because nothing here has been audited.
  4. Coaching cost: not sourced. Every figure circulating for 1:1 business coaching comes from a directory or a coach marketing their own rate, and none was re-verified for this page. "A four figure monthly retainer" is shape language for the 1:1 tier and it is an estimate, not a measurement. Get a quote from the specific coach you are considering.

Checked on 2026-09-20. The only figures published here are agi.ceo's own, and you can check every one of them on day one of the trial. Comparison pages rot: this one gets a fresh check every 90 days, and a sourced coaching figure goes in the table the day one exists.
